Dark Sand is the deeper, richer end of the sand range — a warm, earthy tone for shadowed desert surfaces and the base of a sand modulation. AK's high-pigment 3rd Generation acrylic lays it down matt and smooth by brush or airbrush.

Best for

• Shadowed desert camo and lower surfaces
• The darker base beneath medium and pale sand
• Warm, earthy groundwork tones

Thin it for airbrush or brush layers, and use it as the shadow tone to build lighter sands over. Matt finish, ideal for filters and dust weathering.
